School Finance Manager

Greenwich Waldorf School is seeking a proactive and skilled Finance Manager to manage the school’s financial operations, maintaining robust financial controls and ensuring audit-ready records. The position is until 10th July 2026 initially with the potential to become permanent. For the right candidate, there is the opportunity to merge this role with the position of part-time Credit Controller/Administrator (also advertised here) to make a full-time position.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys variety and thrives in a warm and supportive environment. You will play a key role in promoting financial integrity across the school.

Key Responsibilities

● Liaise with external accountants and auditors

● Manage income streams, including school fees, clubs, Gift Aid, and cashless systems

● Oversee accounts payable, expense claims, and credit card reconciliations

● Support reconciliation of bank, control, and suspense accounts monthly

● Payroll inputs, processes and year-end submissions

● Maintain VAT compliance and manage correct VAT accounting

● Maintain financial schedules, and ensure audit-ready records

● Champion strong internal controls, financial probity, and compliance

● Liaise with Leadership Team and Trustees
